Blogger (aAa 156) (Bart x Red Cliff x Jotan) is bull who offers plenty of balance and dairy strength with an uncommon bloodline. What makes Blogger's pedigree a little unusual is that it contains two new cow families. His paternal and maternal lines both score above average for traits including milk and protein percentage and have faultless conformation. Plenty of balance in the frame and good udders and legs add up to very good durability.
Bart, who sired Blogger, is a son of Whatsapp and has all-round transmitting abilities. This ease of calving bull enhances all production and conformation traits. Just like his son Blogger, he has an aAa-code with many rounded traits (1, 5 and 6). His daughters are of average stature and offer good width. He is also top of the bill for somatic cell count, fertility and durability.
Blogger's maternal line is a relatively unknown cow family, yet despite this they have many positives to offer. Cows from this Ivonne line have very good conformation and achieve excellent milk yield records that include high protein percentages. Durability is another of their features as demonstrated by Blogger’s great grand dam Ivonne 16, for example. This daughter by Curtis with 85 points is still at peak production. Her dam, a daughter by Danny with 85 points, achieved lifetime production of almost 70,000 kg of milk with an average of 3.59% protein. Ivonne 16 has produced almost 80,000 kg of milk with an average lactation value of 109 and an average protein percentage of 3.69%. Unfortunately, the lifetime production of her daughter by Jotan, Ivonne 20 (Blogger's grand dam) failed to match the standards set in Blogger’s maternal line. She was culled due to an accident in her third lactation, so was unable to reach high milk production. However, she did leave two wonderful daughters as her legacy. The first is Ivonne 34, an 86-point daughter by Julian, who is performing well as a second calf cow after a solid heifer list (LV 129). Ivonne 20's other daughter is Ivonne 26, Blogger's dam. This Red Cliff daughter with 87 points merited lactation values of 113 as a heifer and 122 on her second calf.
Production is good in her third lactation and she has scored a lactation value of 110 after 122 days.
