Mastenbroeker Braxton (Bookem x Paramount x Laurenzo) is another son from the excellent Paramount daughter Akke 870 that KI SAMEN is testing; after Emerald-son Fletcher. Plenty of milk, good conformation (namely excellent udders) and very high durability are main traits which can be traced back to both the sire and dam line of Braxton
Bookem, the sire of Braxton, belongs to the top of the international bull list (especially in the Netherlands) and is based on a large number of producing daughters over several years. He is a welcome addition to the era of O-Man, Shottle and Goldwyn with his lineage of Planet x Ramos In addition, he has excellent inheritance figures for conformation, as well as for production (lots of milk). This easy, calving bull has daughters who can easily give birth and moreover who score very good for somatic cell count, fertility and durability. It’s his imposing udder inheritance that stands out in his overall conformation inheritance.
Braxton has a well-developed cow as his dam Akke 80, with her excellent udder and feet & legs and who is a Paramount- daughter who managed to reach the status of excellence. His grandmother, Laurenzo-daughter Akke 584 is pretty much the spitting image of Akke 870. Medium sized and with an excellent udder (92 points) with very good legs. She has already produced more than 90,000 kg of milk. One generation removed and we come to Akke 493, an 85 point Looking Major-daughter (87 points for udder and 86 points for legs). She produced more than 70,000 kg milk. Though the durability queen of the Akke tribe is really Ronald-daughter Akke 416. This great-great- grand dam of Braxton produced more than 100,000 kg milk. Akke 1011 (VG 85, s. Trinity), is the oldest daughter of Braxton’s dam Akke 870, and produced more than 43,000 kg of milk after 4 lactations. She combined this with sky high levels (5,30% fat and 3,74% protein), resulting in a lactation worth of 121 over these 4 list.
